Navy and White Tree Stampin up Christmas Card

Merry Christmas Eve!  This will be the last card until after the holidays.  Wishing you

I went back to one of my favorite stamp sets, Lovely as a Tree with lots of layers of Night of Navy and Whisper White cardstock.

I accented the card with a trio of silver brads.  I used white embossing powder for the tree

I used an embossing folder for extra texture and dimension.

Here is a final look at the card.

Merry Christmas and Happy  Holidays!

Stampin Up Birthday cards--Girly and Feminine

I should be posting Christmas cards this being December 23rd, but I haven't gotten anymore Christmas cards made--I have a few days, right?!

So, instead, here are two simple, girly birthday cards.

The common theme is birthday and polka-dots.  I LOVE polka-dots!

This color scheme is one of my favorites--browns and pinks

This card works for a child, tween or someone who just likes brown and pink!

This card is another favorite color combo of greens and pinks, and again works for child, tween or adult

Stampin Up Banner 2014 SAB Sneak Peak Greeting Card

I was so excited to get the banner stamp and punch for the early preview the demonstrators can earn.  Here is a card I made with an old and new idea in my head.  Old Sale-A-Bration paper combined with new Sale-A-Bration stamp and punch.  I needed a Valentine's theme card for my Ladies Play with Paper club card exchange.  I ended up make three because I wasn't happy with anything I put together.   Finally, I liked this one!
The base of this card is Island Indigo with a layer of Sycamore Street DSP from last year's SAB.  I stamped all the pieces of the banner in coordinating colors:  Tangerine Tango, Summer Starfruit, Island Indigo and Ridinghood Red, and then punched them each out.  I used a small heart punch (non-SU) and punched two Tangerine Tango hearts to begin and end the banner.

The large heart is from I Heart Hearts, and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamped in Island Idigo and Pool Party respectively.

I added a layer of Tangerine Tango that I scallop punched one side of and added a piece of ruffled Island Indigo ribbon to the center.

Here is a closer look at the banner.
One more final look at the card.

Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!

Stampin Up Welcome Baby Dresser Shaped Greeting Card and Tutorial

Today I'm sharing with you a card I made for a baby swap.  I had been looking at a ton of dresser cards online and was inspired by them all!  It was overwhelming, so I used some of the features that struck me the most.

I used various neutral colors for the "quilt" hanging out of the third drawer.  It's difficult to see in the photos, but I used two different embossing folders to add texture also.

In this view I think you can see the embossing I did around each "drawer" for more detail.

I used the Stampin Up set called Petite Pairs for the outside and inside sentiments.

UPDATE:
So, I've received a few requests for how I made the card including dimensions so here are a few simple photos with the details of what I did to create this card.

Please let me know if I've forgotten anything helpful for you!

Happy Creating!

Petite Pairs and Elements of Style Sympathy Card

With the Christmas Season in full swing, there is also sadness and loss.  My dear friend lost her grandmother earlier this week.  So, along with her Christmas card I mailed this sympathy card to her today.

The card is monochromatic with Wisteria Wonder and Whisper White as the only colors used.

I used the flower from Elements of Style, and embossed it in white embossing powder and then used a sponge with Wisteria Wonder ink around the image to make it pop.

The greeting on the front and the sentiment inside are from Petite Pairs and read, "sending sympathy and prayers..." and "to heal your heart."

I used the ruffled ribbon, also in Wisteria Wonder.

Label Love and Layers Stampin Up Greeting Card

Today's card is made using one of my favorite stamp sets from the 2013-2014 Stampin Up Catalog called Label Love.  It comes as a bundle, and for me, it was totally worth it!

I used a base of Eggplant Envy with layers of Black, Wisteria Wonder and banners in Whisper White, and Eggplant Envy, more Black and Wisteria Wonder...See now why I called this post Label Love and Layers?  This is a THICK card!

The sentiment from Label Love that I used was "just for you".  I punched it out with the matching punch.  I wrapped the purple banner with Baker's Twine.

Two layers of Wisteria Wonder and one layer of Eggplant Envy are embossed with the Mosaic Madness embossing folder...Another one of my favorites from this year's catalog.

One of the things I love about the embossing folders is that they add so much that you can make cards without adding the cost of DSP (designer series paper/pattern paper) if you so choose.

Here is a final look at the card.

Penny Black Water Color Mouse Birthday Card

I mentioned that I LOVE the look of water coloring.  Here is another card using water coloring.  This card uses Penny Black stamps and bright colored papers.  I used Nesties to cut out the image.

The sentiment is from a Stampin Up retired set.  I can't remember the name of the set.

The cardstock is all Stampin Up as well.  I love that the pattern paper (from my stash) coordinated with so many colors.
I used rippled purple ribbon from my stash under the layered and popped up image.

Here is a closer look of the colored image.

Prayer Request

Hello All!  My second post today is a prayer request for my lovely Auntie Patty.  She's been diagnosed with extremely aggressive Pancreatic cancer.  She will start an extensive Chemo regimen tomorrow and then have surgery to attempt to remove the tumor.  Without treatment then give her 2-4 months to live, and with chemo and surgery, hopefully 22 months.

I ask for prayers for strength and peace as for Auntie Patty, as well as the rest of the family and I ask for compassion, healing power and grace for the medical personnel.

I love you Auntie Patty and we'll be here with you during this journey!

Countryside Watercolor Truck Stampin Up Greeting Card

Hello!

Today's card is very CAS, Clean and Simple.  I LOVE WATERCOLORING!!!!  I was lucky enough to purchase some of Stampin Up's retired watercolor crayons, and I've been playing around with the.  This is one of my favorite stamp sets to use for watercoloring.
The truck is from Counrtyside (retured), and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes (current).

Here is a closer look at the truck.

My friend Norma says less is more when it comes to coloring, and she couldn't be more correct!  Thanks for the advice Norma!

I used the lattice square embossing folder for Night of Navy and Ridinghood Red papers for simplicity and texture.

Thanks for stopping by and learning about my newest, favorite technique!

Stampin Up Sympathy Greeting Cards

Today I'm sharing some sympathy cards that I've made over the last few months.  Unfortunately, it seems that with the weather, the need for sympathy cards increases.

This first card I made for my stamper club card exchange.  Ladies Play with Paper is our monthly club. This card was for the Sympathy card swap.

This card is made with a economical  paper stack from Wal-Mart.  It was a stack of 6x6 papers and I believe was only $3.50.

I double stamped the flowers with a silhouette look in Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze.  The sheer vanilla ribbon is from the dollar store, and the antique brad is from my stash.

I made a double looped bow with the ribbon.

Final look at card one.

Here is the second card.  I used a floral stamp set that by dear friend Angela gave me, and then used a K&Company paper stack of pattern papers and the scallop edge die from Stampin Up for all the scallops.

I used Chocolate Chip Ink and cardstock to mat the stamped image.  I wrapped baker's twine around the stamped image.

The base of this card is Really Rust.

I love the look of all the vintage pattern papers.

Final look of the second card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Blessings!

Up, Up and Away Birthday Greeting Card

Hi!  Today's card is one a made a while ago with the now retired stamp set called Up, Up and Away.  This  set is a lot of fun and I enjoy the combinations or hot air balloons that this set has.
I stamped my balloons in Ridinghood Red, Pear Pizzaz andNight of Navy.

Here you can see that I layered the balloons for more dimension.

The base of the card is Ridinghood Red, with layers of Pear Pizzaz and Night of Navy.  I added baker's twine to the bottom of the matted pattern paper.  I'm not sure the maker of that paper, but it worked with the color scheme I wanted. :0)

Here is one final look at the card.
